Client Challenge
Establishing Facebook’s EMEA headquarters in Dublin required a building capable of supporting a highly collaborative workplace while reflecting the openness and flexibility central to the company’s culture. MCA’s involvement began with assessing the suitability of the Grand Canal Square building, providing due diligence and feasibility advice before progressing through design and construction.
Hyceon’s Solution
Across eight levels, the headquarters combines flexible workspace with conference and client areas, dining, gym and staff facilities. The architectural and interior design response prioritised openness, transparency and adaptability, using simple, versatile interventions rather than unnecessary detail to create an environment that could respond to changing ways of working.rnrnMCA provided architectural, space planning, interior design and project management services, alongside statutory reviews and construction-stage monitoring. The completed headquarters demonstrates how early technical appraisal and considered workplace design can come together to create a flexible environment that supports both organisational culture and the evolving needs of a major international workforce.
