Grant Thornton’s existing headquarters no longer reflected the ambitions of the business or provided the capacity required for future growth. In a competitive professional services market, the new headquarters needed to deliver a best-in-class workplace for employees alongside a high-quality client environment appropriate to the firm and its prime city-centre location.

MCA’s involvement began with detailed due diligence alongside the base-build design team, allowing potential constraints to be identified early and the building design adapted to support the requirements of the future fit-out before construction commenced.rnrnThe workplace moved away from the enclosed and congested environment of the previous offices to create a more open, contemporary headquarters. Particular emphasis was placed on the client-facing experience, creating a professional and considered setting for meetings and engagement while maintaining a clear relationship with the wider workplace. The completed headquarters provides Grant Thornton with an environment that better reflects the quality, ambition and growth of the business.
