2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the memory or on the end device of the visitor. A cookie contains information about its origin and storage period and, depending on its purpose, for example an identification number or the settings you have chosen. Cookies cannot read or damage other data on your computer.
In addition to cookies, similar technologies can be used, for example the local storage of your browser or tags and pixels that are loaded when a page is called up. In this Cookie Policy, we refer to all of these technologies as “cookies”.
- First-party and third-party cookies: First-party cookies are set by our website itself. Third-party cookies are set by the providers of services we integrate, for example Google.
- Session and persistent cookies: Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your end device for a defined period, or until you delete them yourself.
3. Legal Bases
- Necessary cookies: The storage of and access to necessary cookies on your end device is based on § 25 Para. 2 No. 2 TDDDG, as they are indispensable for providing the service you have requested. Any associated processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest in a secure and functional website according to External: Article 6 paragraph 1 point (f) GDPR.
- All other cookies: We only use optional cookies after you have given us your active consent in accordance with § 25 Para. 1 TDDDG and External: Article 6 paragraph 1 point (a) GDPR.
- Documentation of your consent: We record your consent decision in order to document and demonstrate that valid consent has been obtained. The legal basis for this processing is External: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Article 7(1) GDPR.
4. Categories of Cookies We Use
We group the cookies on our website into the following categories, which correspond to the categories in our cookie banner. The cookie list in section 7 shows which cookies are currently set in each category.
- Necessary (always active): These cookies are necessary for the operation and security of the website and are therefore not subject to the consent settings for optional cookies. They are used, for example, to store your cookie consent decision (CookieYes), to protect our website against attacks and harmful bots, and to check whether your browser accepts cookies.
- Functional: These cookies enable additional functions and remember choices you have made, in order to make the website more convenient to use. They are only set with your consent.
- Analytics: These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, so that we can design our offer to meet demand and improve it continuously. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose. They are only set with your consent.
- Performance: These cookies collect information on the technical performance of our website, for example loading times, in order to improve the user experience. They are only set with your consent.
- Advertisement: These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking for this purpose. They are only set with your consent.
We manage the tags for Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads centrally via the Google Tag Manager. We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy tags on our website. Google Tag Manager does not itself use cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. The analytics and advertising tags managed through Google Tag Manager are activated in accordance with your consent settings. Further information on these Google services can be found in the “Web Tracking and Analysis (Google Services)” section of our Privacy Policy.
We do not use active social media plugins. Our links to LinkedIn are mere hyperlinks and do not set any cookies while you navigate on our website.
5. Consent Management with CookieYes
We use the consent management tool CookieYes (provider: CookieYes Limited, United Kingdom) to obtain and document your consent. As soon as you access our website for the first time, a cookie banner appears. There you can accept or reject all optional cookies, or choose individual categories. Necessary cookies are always active.
Your decision is stored in the cookie “cookieyes-consent” for 12 months. After this period, or where changes to our use of cookies require renewed consent, we will ask you to make your choice again. Further details on CookieYes, including the data processed and the transfer to the United Kingdom, can be found in section 6 “Cookies and Consent Management” of our Privacy Policy.
6. Changing or Withdrawing Your Consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, open the cookie settings using the button below or the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of our website. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.
Please note: After you withdraw your consent, the relevant optional technologies will no longer be used on the basis of that consent. Depending on the technology concerned, cookies already stored on your device may remain until they expire or are deleted through your browser settings (see section 8).
7. Cookies Used on This Website
The following list is generated automatically by CookieYes based on regular scans of our website and reflects the cookies identified by CookieYes. For each cookie, it shows the name, the domain that sets it, its purpose, its storage period and its category.
8. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Independently of our cookie banner, you can view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies can lead to functional restrictions on our website. You can find instructions for the most common browsers here:
9. Transfer to Third Countries
With some of the services named above, data may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. For Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager), a transfer to the USA may take place. Where the relevant recipient is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, transfers to the United States may be based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision pursuant to Article 45 GDPR. Where an adequacy decision does not apply, we may rely on appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Article 46(2)(c) GDPR. CookieYes is based in the United Kingdom, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). An overview of the certifications can be found in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We will adapt this Cookie Policy if we change the technologies used on our website or if the legal requirements change. The cookie list in section 7 is updated automatically. We therefore advise you to check this page regularly.
11. Contact and Your Rights
If you have any questions about cookies on our website, please contact us at info@ttsp-hwp.de or our data protection officer at datenschutz@ttsp-hwp.de. Information on your rights as a data subject, including your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, can be found in section 10 “Data Subject Rights” of our Privacy Policy.
