Client Challenge
As Workday expanded in Ireland, its existing office could no longer support the needs or ambitions of a rapidly growing workforce. Without established workplace standards or certainty around future headcount, the challenge was to create a best-in-class employee environment that could grow and adapt alongside the business.
Hyceon’s Solution
MCA worked closely with Workday to establish workplace standards, spatial requirements and a phased strategy for occupying The King’s Building. Initial floors were fitted out first, with further space brought into use as staff numbers increased. The workplace ultimately grew to approximately 1,400 workstations, supported by a wide range of employee amenities.rnrnThe design also established a hierarchy of meeting and collaborative environments, including a high proportion of smaller enclosed huddle spaces to support different ways of working. The approach proved successful for Workday in Ireland, with elements subsequently adopted across its global offices, demonstrating how considered workplace design can support both employee experience and long-term organisational growth.
